How To Study For A Final In A Curved Class

We've all been there. The Biochem class with a 50 percent average, that's been loosely promised a 20 percent curve. But what happens if that curve doesn't come to fruition?

What if the curve never materializes and you don't study and end up on the side of it you'don't want to be?

Below is our five step study plan for this type of class specifically (with an emphasis on keeping your study motivation up)

  1. Don't think about the curve and don't calculate your grade with and without it.

  2. Review your notes systematically and consistently without any distractions (social media and phone are a NO)

  3. Create your own flashcards and study-aids. Studies have shown creating your own Anki decks have proven to be much more efficient, than using a pre-made one.

  4. Don't pull an all-nighter and don't cram. Study periodically so you don't have to take on additional stress the night before the exam.

  5. Reason out the questions on the actual exam, and give all of them an equal amount of thought and rationale.
